3.5 + hp Blenders

3.5 + hp blenders are greatest for really fanatic and very advanced raw foodists / raw vegetable and fruit smoothie enthusiasts. The power of a 3 hp blender is shear force and and yields the torque to break all the cell walls of even hard to very hard or difficult to blend ingredients and materials. A 3.5 hp blender of course and obviously is supposed to yield even more power. There are some 3.5 hp blenders that are not true 3.5 hp blenders. Rather, they have the motor capacity but don't have the necessary power supply to get the required electricity demand to the motor to get all the strength out of. It is not necessarily needed. But that also means that strawberry seeds and raspberry seeds, if that is important to you, may not be blended completely.

We need to differentiate between true 3 hp blenders, 3.5 hp blenders, or those that have the 3.5 hp motor but not the sufficient power supply to actually squeeze out all the power it's got. If you used a 2 hp motor all the way to its 2 hp blender capacity versus a 3 hp motor to the equal 2 hp blender capacity, then the 3 hp motor will last longer, of course. And in most blending applications, a 2 hp blender is sufficient. 3 hp is a stronger motor for finer puttees and to give the blending enthusiast the opportunity to go through thicker ingredients.

The 3.5 and the 3.5+ motors are then designed to address all-blending capacities such as the blending of raspberry seeds, blending seeds of all kind, even strawberry seeds. Such motors have the capacity to even grind and blend avocado seeds. Now, avocado seeds are very big and hard pits (we are not sure what they would possibly be good for), but here you have it, you can grind your mother-in-law, in other words, if you ever felt like it; not that we would recommend it.

Just like with the scenario between the 2 hp blender and the 3 hp blender, picture 3 horses pulling a cart up a hill next to the same carriage type pulled by 4 horses (3 large ones and 1 little pony to make it 3.5 - fair enough?). The carts weigh the same, the horses start out at the same time, move the same speed and arrive on top of the hill at the same time. Which horses could appear more exhausted or worn out? And then of course are those motors that have sufficient power supply be considered true 3.5 hp blenders. But the Amperes of the blender power supply and the watts should really be more likely in the 15 AMPs to 20 AMPs and 2000 to 2400 Watts. Not many blenders have that kind of supply. It is really a question of money and need.

We will report more about 3.5 and the 3.5 + hp blenders and differentiate between Waring, Vita-Mix, and Blendtec 3 hp blenders, all their pros and cons over the 2 hp blenders and the 3 hp blenders. Depending on budget and on user needs, any of these great blenders (and we mean literally all of these that we feature on our website(s) are great high performance blenders) are good or better in one functionality, appearance, design, or usability, while other features from different Waring, Blendtec, or Vita-Mix blenders are more appealing.
