3 hp blenders are great for advanced raw foodists / raw vegetable and fruit smoothie enthusiasts. The power of a 3 hp blender is shear force and and yields the torque to break all the cell walls of even hard to very hard or difficult to blend ingredients and materials. However, we need to differentiate between true 3 hp blenders or those that have the 3 hp motor but not sufficient power supply to actually squeeze out all the power it's got.
Picture 2 horses pulling a cart up a hill next to the same carriage type pulled by 3 horses. The carts weigh the same, the horses start out at the same time, move the same speed and arrive on top of the hill at the same time. Which horses could appear more exhausted or worn out? And then of course are those motors that have sufficient power supply be considered true 3 hp blenders. But the Amperes of the blender power supply and the watts should really be more likely in the 15 AMPs to 20 AMPs and 2000 to 2400 Watts. Not many blenders have that kind of supply. It is really a question of money and need.
We will report more about 3 hp blenders and differentiate between Waring, Vita-Mix, and Blendtec 3 hp blenders, all their pros and cons over the 2 hp blenders and the 3.5 + hp blenders. Depending on budget and on user needs, any of these great blenders (and we mean literally all of these that we feature on our website(s) are great high performance blenders) are good or better in one functionality, appearance, design, or usability, while other fea tures from different Waring, Blendtec, or Vita-Mix blenders are more appealing.
Some of the blenders are border 3 and 3+ or even 2+ hp blenders. That is why we added them to it. We find that a fair comparison because there are designated or defined 3 hp blenders that have the 3 hp motor but are not equipped properly with the right power supply to get the electric - juice to the motor so it can run on full 3 hp.
