Blendtec EZ Blender
2+ hp blender means that this EZ blender really can exceed its 2 hp motor limits because of its extended power supply of 13 amps. If you compare with other 3 hp blender motors, these have usually a 13 amp power supply but are not true 3 hp blenders. They have the 3 hp motor, but the cables and the power supply cannot deliver the power to the motor to get the total potential out of it. There is nothing wrong with this concept as it is being used in different configurations and systems. In any event, the EZ Blender has a 2 hp motor and it can really get all of it out of it because it has the power supply required for that. Thus we call it the 2+ hp blender. I hope I make sense.
