Blendtec blenders come in 2, 3 hp and 3.5 hp motors. The Company is a K-Tec company. We have all heard about the will it blend commercials on youtube. It is of course not recommended to try out the www.willitblend.com activities at home.

The main feature of all Blendtec blenders is the electronic sophistication. Electronic technology has been applied to create pre-programmed blending cycle settings that allow the blending and grinding activity to be performed without tamper and also stand-alone while you can go about your business elsewhere in those 10 to 20 seconds while your smoothie is being privately prepared for you by Blendtec. However electronic sophistication is not everybody's cup of tea.

Some people fear electronic push buttons and its versatile opportunities, not that there is anything wrong with that, of course. The electronic sophistication of for instance 25 pre-programmed blending cycle settings and customizable procedures require some little learning and experimenting. If you don't have the time to deal with these electronics we recommend to consider a simpler version of blenders, namely the Vita-Mix or the Waring series - manual switches and knobs.

But if you have the time and interest in electronics, this can be lots of fun for you. The Blendtec electronic sophistication opens all kinds of new avenues of blending experience to you (dough, bread baking, smoothie making, ice crushing or snow production for frozen ice-cones, etc... just to give you a few ideas).

Comparing Vita-Mix and Blendtec processing functionalities, both companies claim their's is better than the other. Vita-Mix argues that the electronic buttons and keypad could get wet and then lead to default while Blendtec claims that the sealed up keypads are protected against moisture completely and will never get wet, while of course the switches and knobs run into problems all the time. We as consumers can't listen to this biased quack. Just make your decision based on what you prefer. Both of these blenders are excellent blenders.

As stated before, we are bringing to you high performance blenders. They are all first class, and simply the best. All of these have pros and cons. This does not mean that one is better than the other. It actually means that one may fit your budget, lifestyle, and features better than another blender. Consider how much time you have to learn this new lifestyle and to adapt and what you are willing to sacrifice for it. Don't however sacrifice your health!
